Thanks so much for being here! The Stage Left Report is your biweekly breakdown of the news that matters most in the theater world, told by the people you trust.

We will focus on workers’ rights, equity, arts activism, and community impact projects. You’ll also find links to historical coverage of the theatre industry to keep us grounded in where we have been— and where we’re going.

A little about the creator, Sophia Pesetti: I’m a New York City-based backstage theatre practitioner who has lived in California, Colorado, Oregon, and Minnesota. I have worked on Broadway, off-Broadway, summer stock, festivals, and student productions in roles spanning stage and production management, theatre administration, marketing, and producing. My background in advocacy communications and the legal field helps me break down complicated issues in the news, and shed light on how language in media can be used to confuse the truth and shift blame.
